CSX Will Eliminate Fuel Surcharges 1/1/2022
As part of their ongoing effort to simplify pricing, CSX will eliminate fuel surcharges on all public tariffs, effective January 1st, 2022. CSXT Fuel Surcharge Publication 8662, which applied a mileage-based fuel surcharge on their public rates when the price per gallon of highway diesel fuel exceeded 374 cents, will be discontinued as of the effective date.
All public tariffs will be updated to reflect the surcharge elimination, although the process of revising the documents may extend into the new year. No surcharge will be applied as of January 1st, 2022, even if a rate document has yet to be updated.
