Terminal Dwell by Railroad
The chart data below is the last 6+ months of performance reporting that Class I rail cariers are required to submit to the Surface Transportation Board on a weekly basis (per EP 724, United States Rail Service Issues – Data Collection, issued October 8, 2014).
- Weekly average terminal dwell time, measured in hours, excluding cars on run-through trains (i.e., cars that arrive at, and depart from, a terminal on the same through train) for the carrier’s system and its 10 largest terminals in terms of railcars processed. (Terminal dwell is the average time a car resides at a specified terminal location expressed in hours.)
- U.S. only operations for Canadian railways.
