Do you need rail transloading or marine port services in the East? RSI’s rail operations continue to grow and we are pleased to announce two new facilities near Charleston, SC.
|The Port of Georgetown, South Carolina is 60 miles north of Charleston and 120 miles from Columbia. The facility has 4 marine births, direct rail service by CSX, a large laydown area, 103,000 ft² warehouse space, and 3 storage sheds. The facility provides bulk, break bulk, and intermodal services.|
|Our North Charleston 23,500 ft² warehouse is truck served and provides cross-docking, packing, and storage services. It is only 1 mile from the 526 beltway around Charleston, SC.|
This brings the total number of facilities that RSI operates to 20. “Great customer service, buttoned down processes, and an excellent safety record have all been key to our success. More customers are also taking advantage of our rail logistics capabilities” says Kelley Minnehan, who oversees all of RSI’s terminals.
For shippers without in-house rail expertise or those with limited resources, RSI can provide a turnkey solution – everything from procuring rail cars to executing shipments, or just helping on a project basis. Since RSI is also a software company, we’re able to provide automated visibility and reporting through our terminal and/or rail transportation management system.
