RSI Logistics, Inc (RSI) was originally founded as Rail Services, Inc. in 1985. The foundation of the company was to specifically manage the rail transportation needs of its customers, through the creation of both cost savings and service efficiencies.

In 1989, RSI expanded its discipline by developing and operating its first of many bulk transfer terminals out of specific needs of its customers. As additional terminal locations were developed, RSI began its trucking operations to further promote the bulk terminals and to provide additional costs savings to its customers.

Today, Rail Services, Inc. is known as RSI Logistics, Inc., which in name better reflects its evolving core competencies that include all areas of transportation to meet the needs of various types of shippers. The sophistication and emphasis that has been placed on logistics over the past ten years has been intense. RSI has met and exceeded these challenges through its diversification in services as well as providing advanced technological capabilities.

RSI's future is very positive and will continue to be an innovative and flexible company, meeting the changing needs of its current and future customers.
