RSI Logistics, Inc. - Industry Update

On October 15 the Grand Rapids Terminal welcomed members of the Hope Lutheran Church as part of the Lutheran World Relief Project. Each year the church loads boxcars with handmade quilts, school supplies, and basic staple items for distribution to those in need.

This year marked the 49^th anniversary of the Project and the 3^rd year in which RSI has participated. According to Reverend Daniel Gruenwald the Project is the culmination of year-long activity by church groups throughout Michigan and Northern Indiana. Donated items are shipped to warehouses on the east coast where they are sorted and repacked into freight containers for the movement overseas.
