KCS continues to work off the backlog of traffic staged away from the path of the hurricanes. Today, the embargo was lifted for traffic interchanging with NOPB at New Orleans. The embargo remains for New Orleans proper and for New Orleans interchange traffic with the exception of NS and CN. The following embargoes remain in place:
The Kansas City Southern Railway Company
Buhler, DeQuincy, Lake Charles, Mossville and West Lake Charles, La., Chaison, Evadale, Lemonville, Mulford, Port Arthur and Port Neches, TX, Delisle and Gulfport, Miss. with the exception of three Gulfport customers.
While the embargo for traffic interchanging to and from The Texas Mexican Railway Company was lifted last week, the embargo remains for Beaumont proper and other interchange connections at Beaumont.
TFM, S.A. de C.V.
Matamoros and Brownsville (embargo does not cover traffic to and from the BRG Railroad nor does it cover traffic to final destination Matamoros)
KCS will advise customers as new information becomes available. Updates can also be found from the link on the home page of www.kcsi.com titled "Service Status Updates Regarding Hurricanes".
