Captive Rail Shippers – News and CURE Meeting

January 31, 2006. As reported by John Gallagher at Traffic World, Senator Burns of Montana is urging President Bush to nominate a successor to the Surface Transportation Board who will protect the interests of captive rail shippers. Visit Traffic World Online to read the full story.

On another note, RSI will be attending the “Captive Rail Customer Day” legislative rally and congressional office visits in Washington, D.C. on behalf of our clients. This event is scheduled for March 9th and is sponsored by the Consumers United For Rail Equity and the Alliance for Rail Competition. This meeting provides shippers with the opportunity to educate Congress about the issues affecting rail customers. Contact David Riddell if you would like information on attending this event.
