CN and CSXT Sign Haulage Agreement for Sarnia, ON Freight Traffic

January 30, 2006. CN Marketing announced that CN and CSX Transportation have signed a haulage agreement whereby CN will move CSXT traffic to and from Sarnia, ON and CSXT connections in Buffalo, NY, and Toledo, OH. The agreement will be implemented January 31, 2006.

According to the CN “This agreement is a good deal for both railroads: CN welcomes CSXT traffic to the network as we have the crews, locomotives and route to support CSXT's Sarnia customers, and at the same time, CN will increase freight densities and optimize the use of our rail lines in the Sarnia region.”
