CSX Gulf Coast Line Resumes Service

CSX began local rail service on its Gulf Coast line, which has been under repair for five months after being shut down by Hurricane Katrina.

Over the past five months CSX has been working to restore six bridges, 40 miles of track, and its major rail yard in New Orleans. Service through the entire area is expected to be restored beginning in early February.
